DAY 1 : MARRAKECH - HIGH ATLAS - AIT BENHADDOU - OUARZAZATE - DADES VALLEY

Our driver will pick you up from your riad in Marrakech and take you to Dades Valley across the High Atlas Highlands on the southern side of the mountains, departing from Marrakech. To Ouarzazate, with its Tizi n'Tichka pass, is a somewhat longer and safer route. This portion of the N9, completed in 1936 by the Foreign Legion, has breathtaking vistas. The complete trip from Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou is almost 180 kilometers, thus we should stop in a good location, such as TADART. The Tizi n'Tichka itself, which is almost exactly halfway to Ait Benhaddou, around 1 p.m. having lunch then visiting it, it is up on dramatic hillside, the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou; 70 km from Ouarzazate, is one of Morocco's largest complexes of traditional packed -earth buildings, thus its place on the UNESCO -sponsored World Heritage list. The location's renown has traveled far and wide, and during the high season, coach load after coach load of visitors pull up, linger for a few photographs, and then leave. The kasbah towers provide views of the surrounding region, and the medieval hamlet also features a massive Agadir, or store house. Ait Benhaddou flourished due to its strategic location on the south slope of the Atlas near the intersection of the Draa and Dades Valley Routes. The Kasbah is a must-see for tourists because of its unique design and involvement in the film industry. Our day will continue to Dades Valley, where we will stay the night and have supper and breakfast.

DAY 2 : DADES VALLEY - TODRA GORGES - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA ERG CHEBBI DUNES

After breakfast, we will travel via the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs, which runs between Dades and Merzouga through parched plains oasis with a backdrop of severe mountain vistas, where semi-nomadic Berber pasture their sheep. The modern world has come, yet tour buses and four wheel drives continue to transport visitors to the expanding settlements at the entrance of the magnificent Gorges. We'll eat lunch someplace in Todra Gorges. The drive to Merzouga Desert between 4 and 5 p.m., when the rocks are colored in bands of dazzling sunshine and black shade, is smaller and more twisting. Ride the Camel to our Desert Camp for overnight and supper.

DAY 3 : SAHARA DESERT- DRAA VALLEY - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH

After returning from your fantastic adventure in the midst of the desert, your three-day tour from Marrakech will come to a conclusion. Our driver will return you to Marrakech via the Draa Valley. The road southeast from Ouarzazate to Zagora is breathtaking, traveling over the Jbel Anaouar Mountains and then down down the Draa Valley, a strip of vigorous agriculture and a ribbon of bright color weaving across the desert. There are red-earth colored kasbahs and communities with flat-roofed dwellings with crenellated rooftops here and there. The Draa Valley was formerly one of the longest rivers in North West Africa; lunch and a rest in Ouarzazate, Morocco's Hollywood, before continuing to Marrakech.
